Robinhood —  Content Designer (March 2022 - Present)

Designed article templates and Browse integration for Market Updates, Robinhood’s offering of timely breakdowns from our Snacks editorial team on key market events and trends. Worked closely with Editorial and Education to configure the cadence and design for in-app/push notifications in order to distinguish Market Updates from regular Snacks newsletter content, developing a more rigid editorial system overall. Update types spanned three categories:

  • Daily open/close: Daily, bite-sized updates that distill the day’s major market events in a friendly, easy-to-consume manner
  • The weekly rundown: Deep-dive macroeconomic coverage by Steph Guild, RH’s head of investment strategy and industry thought leader
  • Major updates: Important info about major market developments

Launched for Robinhood Mobile in July 2022
 

RESULTS:
This feature has proven engaging to customers since the experiment phase, helping to make Robinhood the go-to for users to learn more about market news:
  • 18% users view Daily open/close
  • 23% users view The weekly rundown (baseline: 5% users view Snacks articles)
  • 1.8% increase in WOU (users clicking push notifications)
  • no stats sig negative impact on guardrail metrics (mute rate, trading, funding)
